Everything you need to know about our custom garments, our process, and achieving the perfect fit. Still have a question? We are happy to help.
Canvassing is a piece of wool or horsehair which is part of the interlining of the suit which gives a suit more durability than if it is fused. Fused suits over time will bubble by the collar, lapel or the edge of the jacket where canvassed suits will not. Additionally, canvassing gives more shape to the suit and will hug the body better allowing the silhouette to form nicely.
Once an order is confirmed and put into production it takes roughly 4–6 weeks until you receive the item — and sometimes even sooner.
Our process is a true luxury, full-custom experience. We take more measurements and work with our pattern cutters on each individual panel to ensure a flawless fit. Every garment is crafted from the finest fabrics and built by master tailors, and that level of detail simply can't be rushed. Once your garment arrives, we bring you back for additional fittings to make sure it fits you perfectly. That extra care is what delivers a garment made to fit you and last for years.
Yes. Custom garments can often be rushed and delivered in as little as two weeks. Rush orders just need to be confirmed with us beforehand, and depending on the timeline there may be a surcharge.
For our Brooklyn, Five Towns, and Lakewood clients, we offer the convenience of home appointments where our expert clothiers come to you. In Baltimore, all appointments are held at our showroom.
